Additional Information

Confused about the type of coverage you need? We’ll try to clear some of it up for you below. For any questions you may have, be sure to call us at 216-524-5588 and we’ll get you the answers you need.

Collision
Collision covers you in the event of a car accident. Regardless of who is at fault, if you hit a vehicle, tree, or other object, it pays to repair or replace your vehicle.

Liability Insurance
Usually required by state law, liability insurance covers you when you are at fault in an accident and are liable for your actions as a driver. Additionally, there is bodily injury liability, covering the medical bills and potential court costs if you cause injury to another person, and property damage liability, if you are at fault for damaging someone else’s property or vehicle.

Comprehensive
Comprehensive covers events that are outside of your control, such as vandalism, theft, fire, broken glass, collision with an animal, or weather damage. There will typically be a deductible you will need to pay out-of-pocket, the amount of which is decided by the plan you choose.

Diminishing Deductible
With insurance coverage like comprehensive and collision, when you file a claim, you’ll first have a deductible that you will need to pay out-of-pocket. Diminishing deductible can make this easier for you. Each year you drive safely without an accident, your deductible will be credited, lower what you’ll need to pay out-of-pocket if you ever do have an accident.

Underinsured and Uninsured Motorist Coverage
This provides coverage for you and your passengers in the event that you’re injured in a car accident, and the driver responsible has no insurance or not enough insurance.

Accident Forgiveness
Some of the plans we provide will allow you to have one at-fault accident within a specified time frame that will not affect your premium. A single accident won’t change what you pay.

Minor Violation Forgiveness
Speeding and traffic violations could have an impact on your rates. With Minor Violation Forgiveness, if you have a proven track record of safe driving, your first violation won’t affect your premium.

Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance covers things like being locked out of your car, needing a flat tire replaced, fuel delivery if you run out of gas, and other situations.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
An accident may leave you out of work or in rehabilitation while you recover from injuries. No matter who is at fault for the accident, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) will help you recover the cost of lost wages and pay for the rehabilitation that results.

Towing
If your car breaks down and needs to be taken to a nearby mechanic of your choice, this coverage will pay for the towing service.

Rental Reimbursement
Should your car be in an accident that is covered by your policy, rental reimbursement will cover the cost of a rental vehicle while yours is being repaired. The cost of the rental allowed is determined by the limits outlined in your policy.

Medical Payments Coverage
This is coverage for medical and/or funeral expenses in the case of an accident. This coverage can also include your family members or other passengers, regardless of who is at fault in the accident.
